Guests can stay in the main two-bedroom guesthouse for four people, or extend capacity to six by booking the separate chalet. With 8,200 square meters of landscaped gardens, every corner promises beauty and tranquility.

The Guesthouse

Built with oak, hardwoods, and natural stone, the guesthouse radiates warmth and timeless elegance. Each ensuite bedroom features its own fireplace, creating a cozy retreat on cooler evenings. In addition, a large central fireplace anchors the inviting living room.

Beyond the living spaces, a modern farm-style kitchen makes meal preparation effortless and enjoyable. Meanwhile, a well-stocked library offers books for every taste, including titles on the Cape’s rich biodiversity. Outdoors, two open-air showers provide an unforgettable connection to the African sky.

From the spacious sunset deck, admire sweeping views of the ocean, gardens, and surrounding mountains. Throughout the gardens, discover seating areas for every mood and season. Moreover, a waterfall flows into a gentle stream that meanders toward the farm-style dam.

Above the dam, an outdoor grill and fire pit create the perfect setting for memorable evenings. Additionally, a dedicated filtration system supplies unlimited fresh water, ensuring comfort even during Cape Town’s water shortages.

The Chalet – can be booked separately or together with the main guesthouse

Positioned 50 meters from the main house, the 70-square-meter luxury chalet offers complete privacy. This stylish double-story unit suits two adults, though the steep staircase makes it unsuitable for children.

Inside, guests enjoy indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a well-equipped modern farm-style kitchen, and a sunset deck ideal for relaxation. Furthermore, a small home office and fibre internet make remote work possible. Evenings invite relaxation with a wood-fired hot tub and a wood-burning heater.

The chalet can be booked separately—without garden access—or together with the main guesthouse for a larger group experience.

Sustainable Living and Natural Beauty

At Kinghorn’s Luxury Retreat, sustainability guides everything we do. We grow organic vegetables and olives, produce Cape Fynbos honey, and avoid pesticides completely. In addition, compost made from local organic materials nourishes the soil and supports healthy plant growth.

The gardens showcase indigenous proteas, succulents, Mediterranean plantings, olive orchards, rock gardens, and kitchen herbs. In our greenhouse, we cultivate rare plants to help protect them from extinction. Consequently, birdlife and wildlife flourish in this protected habitat. An outdoor sauna, offering serene garden views, completes the restorative atmosphere.

Location

Only five minutes on foot down charming Village Lane brings you to restaurants, a coffee roaster, a deli, a bakery, and a farm market. In contrast, a short five-minute drive takes you to Noordhoek’s famous Long Beach. For wine lovers, Cape Point Vineyards lies just one minute away.
