Cycling and Mountain Biking
Noordhoek is a very picturesque village with large grassy green commons, wetlands and quiet streets. Leisurely explore this on a bike alternatively get the blood pumping and explore our many mountain biking trails. There is something for everybody.

Diving
Noordhoek sits on the South peninsula, where two oceans, the warmer Indian and colder Atlantic merge at Cape Point. These oceans offer diverse diving from large and thick kelp forests to reef and wreck diving. Horse riding
Horse riding is very much an intergral part of this area. Many locals stable their own horses, and horse paddocks are sprinkled all over Noordhoek. Surfing
Further down Noordhoek Long beach, near the Kakapo wreck ,is the well known surf spot, Dunes. Dunes offers the perfect left and right hand peaks.

One of Noordhoek’s neighbouring suburbs is Muizenberg. Muizenberg beach is the perfect learning wave. Check out www.stokedsurfschool.com where adults or kids can learn to surf.

Walking and hiking
Noordhoek long beach (www.noordhoekbeach.co.za) offers over 8km of unspoilt, protected coastline to walk. The sea is cold, but crystal clear and the sand snow white.

For the more serious walker, the surrounding mountains offer a variety of different hiking trails from a gentle climb to the steeper incline. These mountains show off our indigenous fynbos and boast incredible panoramic views.

Wine Tasting
Cape Point Vineyards make a delicious local wine from the vines visible on our mountainside. Do yourself a favour and take a trip there. You can taste local wine, nibble on cheeses and cold meats and soak up your magnificent surroundings. It’s a lovely day out. www.cpv.co.za
